Position Details:
Title: Data Engineer
Duration: 6-Month Contract + Opportunity to Extend
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Model: Mon - Thurs Onsite (4 days/week), 37.5 hours/week
Compensation: $75-80/hour
Start Date: ASAP
Interview Process: 2 rounds -1 personality/fit, 1 technical
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years as a Data Engineer working in Financial Services
- Experience in capital markets, trading systems, and trade lifecycle processes
- Experience with Bi Tools (QuickSite is plus)
- Strong hands-on experience in Python, RestAPI, AWS Cloud, and Microservices
- Strong SQL and database skills
- Ability to deliver scalable enterprise solutions in fast-paced environments
Pluses:
- Front/Middle/Back office application
- Multithreading experience
- Experience with Bi Tool Quick Site
- R Studio experience
- Experience with Terraform
- Knowledge of FIX protocol
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or Murex trading platforms
- Exposure to Java or C++
