Summary:

• This role focuses on ensuring the quality of components sourced from external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Management: Assess and support new suppliers, monitor performance, and drive corrective actions.
• Quality Assurance: Develop inspection procedures, train staff, source inspection tools, and analyze defects.
• Technical Support: Assist in component selection, specification development, and qualification testing.
• Design Collaboration: Provide input on manufacturability and reliability during design reviews.
• Compliance & Leadership: Ensure adherence to corporate policies and regulations. May lead moderate-scope projects and mentor junior staff.

Additional Details

• Experience in supplier quality is required.
• This is a cross-functional role requiring strong internal and external collaboration skills.
• Responsibilities include ensuring vendors are approved on the ASL and facilitating their approval or continued status, this is not a negotiation role.
• Senior-level candidates should have 9+ years of experience.
• Experience in reviewing specifications and linking them to inspection processes is important.
• Experience with COs (Change Orders) or change assessments is a significant benefit.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.

Education/Experience

• Required: BS in Engineering or a related field with 9+ years of experience.
• Alternative: Master’s degree with 2–4 years of related experience, provided the candidate has senior-level experience and a proven track record in SQE.
• Not all experience must be in supplier quality, but an engineering background is essential.
• Some experience must be in Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE).
• Candidates with less than 9 years of SQE experience may be considered if they demonstrate senior-level expertise.
• Backgrounds in automotive or aerospace are acceptable.

Pay Range:

• $40-42/Hr
