Role Overview:
Collabera is looking for a AI/ML candidate who will be supporting a transformation initiative within a leading commercial insurance client, focused on automating technical pricing and risk profiling through AI-driven platforms. This role will join a cross-functional team tasked with building scalable solutions on Vertex AI and GCP, integrating APIs with policy systems, and guiding offshore teams.
As a Senior Python Developer, you'll be hands-on in developing APIs, designing machine learning pipelines, and supporting technical decisions across the platform. You will report directly a tech leader and play a key role in executing a mission-critical, AI-enhanced pricing platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Python-based APIs to support data intake and risk profiling systems.
- Collaborate on building an AI-driven technical pricing engine using Python, Vertex AI, and GCP.
- Implement an algorithmic risk profiling model as part of the submission intake experience.
- Integrate backend components with policy management platforms (no Guidewire experience required).
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to offshore development partners.
- Contribute to architecture design, solutioning, and platform scalability.
- Participate in solution reviews and automation checkpoints.
- Report directly to a leader and work cross-border with a global tech team.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5–6+ years of hands-on Python
- Experience building algorithms
- Strong experience with machine learning platforms, particularly Vertex AI (18+ months of exposure ideal).
- Solid understanding of GCP services and integrations.
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, ideally within commercial lines or technical pricing.
- Experience working with offshore development teams or distributed delivery models.
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience—can guide technical solutions and development best practices.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Background in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) development or systems.
- Experience with Poss Cress (platform/tools used by the team).
- Knowledge of AI-based workflow automation for submission intake and pricing.
- Exposure to tools like First API used within insurance platforms.
