Position Details:

Title: Senior Manager of Software Development

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Markham, ON (Hybrid: 1–2 days/week in office)

Work Model: Hybrid – flexible, but in-office for collaboration/whiteboarding

Salary: $140K–$150K

Start Date: ASAP

Interview Process: 2-3 rounds + Survey

Must-Haves:

8+ years of software development experience
3+ years in a leadership or managerial role
Strong expertise in tech stack: .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, Blazor or React
Experience modernizing legacy platforms (ideally in phased/pragmatic approaches)
Solid understanding of software architecture, secure coding, and performance tuning
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum
Strong SQL experience (current team’s skill gap)
Excellent verbal/written communication and stakeholder management
Strong organizational and leadership skills with a team-building mindset
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Ability to work independently with a customer-focused approach

Nice to Have:

Experience in ERP systems
Exposure to ASP.NET and VB.NET (ability to read/understand legacy code)
Prior experience in hospitality or private club industries
Experience in smaller or high-paced software firms (comfortable wearing multiple hats)
Familiarity with Blazor or React on the UI side
