Job Title: Technical Lead 

Location: El Segundo, CA 90245 - Hybrid Role

Duration: 12 Months (Extension/Conversion will be based on performance)

Pay Range: ($65-$70) hourly

Responsbilities:

• Lead a team of engineers by shaping technical roadmaps, mentoring individuals, and supporting career development.
• Provide hands-on guidance on architecture, code quality, and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and application monitoring.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js, Node.js, and AWS infrastructure.
• Define and drive platform-level technical strategy across web and mobile stacks (e.g., React, Node.js, GraphQL).
• Interact and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, UX, Architecture, QA, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Implement high-quality, user-centric features in a modern JavaScript ecosystem.
• Promote engineering best practices: performance tuning, code reviews, testing, maintainability, and system scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex production issues and oversee incident response and resolution.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform team direction and innovation.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Must Have:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 1+ years in a tech lead or formal leadership role.
• Proven experience leading teams in large-scale e-commerce, retail, or omnichannel environments (e.g., PLM, OMS, WMS).
• Expertise in React (or Next.js), Node.js, and TypeScript; strong grounding in HTML5, CSS3, and CSS-in-JS libraries (e.g., styled-components).
• Deep understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Bitbucket, GitHub, and JIRA.
• Proficiency with performance and observability tools like Sentry, New Relic, or JMeter.
• Solid grasp of Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
• Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration and team leadership capabilities.
• Experience with GraphQL, JAMstack, headless CMS (e.g., Builder.io), or ColdFusion is a plus.
