Job Title: L1 Monitoring Center Analyst
Contract Length: 6 Month's Contract(Possibly Extension)
Location: Evansville, Indiana (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $32/hr -$39/Hr
Must Haves:
- 2-3 years' experience in a technical support, IT monitoring or system operations role demonstrating observability principles and best practices.
- Specific experience in ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence (or other documentation platforms).
- Experience with monitoring tools and systems used to track and report system health / performance.
Tools:
- Big Panda, Grafana, OpsRamp, Elastic, AppDynamics Etc.).
Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP /IP, DNS, HTTP etc.) and IT infrastructure (servers / databases / cloud services (AZURE & AWS). - Familiarity with monitoring tasks and tools in relation to Azure or AWS.
- Tasks: resource validation / virtual machines / storage and services within these platforms.
- Tools: (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
- IT Certifications - CompTIA A+, Network+, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or similar certifications are a plus
Day to Day:
- Monitor and respond to system alerts and notifications from various platforms, including cloud environments (Azure, AWS), network, applications, servers, and databases.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic technical issues related to system performance, connectivity, and cloud resources.
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate technical team or senior analyst. - Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, including steps taken, resolutions, and any follow-up actions required.
- Perform routine checks and reports on system health and performance, focusing on both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- Provide first-level support for clients and end-users, troubleshooting issues through phone, email, or ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve incident response times and overall operational efficiency.
