Pay Range: $34 - $39/hour

• Basic understanding of LC-MS, SEC_MALS, Western blotting and other protein characterization techniques

• Sample handling and preparation of sample for peptide mapping and proteomics

• Basic instrument operation and maintenance.

• Data analysis and interpretation of the data.

• The Protein Science group within Biologics and Genetic Medicine seeks a talented scientist to develop advanced and robust LC-MS analytical methods for the bioanalysis of various molecular formats, such as peptides and proteins. The successful candidate will develop and implement innovative, high-resolution mass spectrometry-based methods for peptide mapping and intact protein analysis.

• Responsibilities include sample preparation for mass spectrometry and other related analytical techniques, such as Western blotting, SEC-MALS, ELISA, and spectroscopic methods. The candidate will also maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, including biological sample extraction systems, HPLC, and LC-MS.

• Education –Bachelors degree, Masters preferred. PhD would be overqualified.
